BENGALURU: Karnataka has cancelled exams for classes 7-9 because of uncertainty over the period of lockdown, imposed to contain the spread of covid-19. “Students studying in both seventh and eighth standard will be promoted to the next grade without any conditions," S.Suresh Kumar, minister for primary & secondary education, labour and Sakala, said on Thursday.
The decision follows a surge in covid-19 cases in Karnataka and the rest of the country.
