ERNAKULAM : Kerala on Tuesday confirmed nine more covid-19 patients, announced the state's chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, taking the state's total tally to 336, one of the highest figures for an Indian state.
Of them, 263 are active patients and two have died previously. With twelve more people testing negative and a total 71 people recovered so far— Kerala has the highest number of recovered people in the country.
Four of the fresh cases are in the most infected district, Kasargod, said Vijayan. Three are in Kannur, one each is in Kollam and Malappuram.
Four of them are returnees from foreign countries, two are linked to the religious event in Delhi's Nizamuddin, and three infected through contacts with existing patients, said the CM.
