Sign up to the M.E.N.'s Manchester Family newsletter for all the latest from school closures to ways to entertain the kids Covid cases have now been confirmed at 81 of the region's schools since they reopened in full earlier this month.
As we mark the anniversary of the first lockdown today, many pupils are in a similar position to last March - back at home and remote learning.
Many of the confirmed cases are however now being picked up by lateral flow tests being done by secondary students and staff working across all education settings.
Adults in all households with school-aged children, not matter what their age, are also being encouraged to self-test twice a week to help detect those who are asymptomatic, but could be infectious.
