Nicola Sturgeon has urged Scots to remain at home as much as possible to stop the spread of the Omicron variant across the country.
The First Minister announced in the Scottish Parliament that the covid Omicron variant will become the dominant strain today after sharp rise in cases.
Following the announcement the SNP leader sent a letter to Boris Johnson urging a meeting to discuss how further financial support can be given to the devolved nations.
The Daily Record understands Sturgeon would like to put restrictions on pubs, nightclubs, concerts and football matches if money is transferred to the Scottish Government.
