Covid on rise in Ayrshire again as just 61 towns and villages have 'suppressed' cases

Ayrshire again, new data has revealed today. More towns and villages across the region are recording more positive COVID-19 tests than at the start of May.Two weeks ago, cases were suppressed to the extent that 84 of 92 Ayrshire areas had low prevalence of the virus.But today it can be revealed that just 61 intermediate zones have suppressed coronavirus.Annbank, Mossblown and Tarbolton – the coalfields (360.3) is the Covid capital of Ayrshire with 360.3 cases in the past seven days per 100,000 population.Ayrshire as a whole reported 35 new cases in the past 24 hours with 17,544 positive tests being detected since the pandemic began.The number of people in NHS Ayrshire & Arran hospitals is 11 — the highest it's been since mid April.
