People who have already had Covid-19 are more likely to suffer mild side effects from the vaccine, an app has suggested. According to the latest data from the ZOE Covid Symptom Study, there is a 33% chance of mild whole body post-jab symptoms for those who have already caught the coronavirus.

For those who haven't, the likelihood of after effects following a Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine falls to 19%. Across everyone who had the jab and reported their health on the app, the most common mild whole body after effects experienced were fatigue (9%), headache (8%) and chills or shivers (4%).

Most of those effects appeared in the first two days after the vaccination and only 3% of people have any after effects beyond three days.
