Cristiano Ronaldo is set to travel back to Italy in order to prepare for a return to training with Juventus. The 35-year-old had been in lockdown in his home town of Madeira with his partner and four children, posting regular updates on his situation across social media.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has now been called back to Italy in order to begin preparations for the return of Serie A football, with full training set to begin on May 18.
That date will give Ronaldo time to compete a two-week period of quarantine upon his return, following the decision made by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
