A dad who spent six weeks battling coronavirus on a ventilator woke to discover he had a Scottish accent. Gym fanatic Wayne Oldham, 46, spent 11 weeks in hospital after coronavirus attacked his lungs.
Placed in a medically induced coma on a ventilator, he suffered constant nightmares and his family feared he would not pull through.
Wayne described his experience of coming round as traumatic after being unconscious under powerful sedation, Liverpool Echo reports.
The salesman, from Aintree, Merseyside, said: "When I woke up, I was just like a madman. I was speaking in a Scottish accent. Have you have any coronavirus stories?
