The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has urged India's National Institute of Virology (NIV) from using so called "deadly tests".In a letter, calling on the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), PETA India urged the Indian government to stop experimenting on the primates and use animal free methods instead.It came after the government of Maharashtra approved the capturing of 30 wild monkeys in the fight against the pandemic.Chief among the concerns were that the wild animals could be carriers of disease which could spread to humans.Wild.
