Delhi HC dismisses former Ranbaxy promoter Shivinder Singh’s interim bail plea

NEW DELHI: The Delhi high court has dismissed the interim bail application of former Ranbaxy promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh who was arrested for alleged misappropriation of funds from Religare Finvest Ltd (RFL).

Singh had sought interim bail citing concerns over the spread of covid-19. “...petitioner is allegedly involved in offence punishable with more than 7 years of sentence and in more than one case and that too under PMLA (prevention of money laundering act) and hence does not qualify to be released pursuant to directions of the High Powered Committee.
