The final result of the National Hunt season confirmed Brian Hughes has become champion jockey for the first time. The Cleveland-based jockey was 19 wins clear of Richard Johnson when the campaign was halted suddenly by coronavirus the week after the Cheltenham Festival.
Hughes, 34, rode 141 winners compared to four-time hero Johnson's 122, after his season was interrupted by injury.
