EFL clubs want fans back in stadiums by September to give clubs a financial lifeline amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Football League's chairman Rick Parry has previously warned that crowds may not be allowed back into football matches this year as the UK continues to combat Covid-19.
However, matchday revenue is crucial especially for those clubs in League One and Two, and clubs are hoping supporters will be allowed to fill around a quarter of stadium capacity when the 2020-21 campaign begins.
And now senior club officials, medical advisers and EFL staff are working together to push for limited crowds being allowed into stadiums, according to The Sun.
