Elon Musk has shared a first photo of his son, after he and Canadian singer Grimes welcomed their first child together in the early hours of this morning.

In true Musk-style, the first photo of the baby was rather unusual, featuring a tattoo filter. He joked: “Never too young for some ink haha.” Many fans were eager to learn the baby's name, including one who tweeted: "We need the name we literally need it." Musk replied, teasing that the baby could have the very unusual name 'X Æ A-12 Musk.' It remains unclear whether Musk was joking, or how this name would even be pronounced.

Musk shared the news of his son's birth on Twitter this morning, writing: "Mom & baby all good.” He had earlier said the baby was "a few hours away".
