Europe and the US could witness a coronavirus turning point this week, groundbreaking new research has claimed. Ping An, an insurance group based in China, has analysed seven of the countries worst-affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.
Its study considers quarantine controls, medical resources, and how elderly populations are. Researchers claim that Italy is “probably at the peak period now”.
The country’s death toll today climbed by 812 to 11,591. However, the number of new cases rose by 4,050 – the lowest since March, hitting a total of 101,739.
Germany, France and Spain are expected to experience a turnaround from March 28-31, while the US has received an estimate of March 30 to April 3.
