The fashion industry is struggling - but still wants to help. Last Thursday I wrote an article about how a handful of fashion brands were donating a percentage of sales to the charities supporting the hardest-hit victims of the coronavirus pandemic.
A lot can change in a week. Now, with the country on a Government-mandated lockdown, many, many more fashion companies have joined the cause, among them luxury conglomerates making multi-million pound donations and giving over manufacturing operations to the making of face masks and hand sanitiser.
But important contributions are coming from independent brands and the high street too. What’s more, these significant efforts in tempering the effects of this unprecedented global crisis are
