A father claimed a school fed his son a 'grab and go' jam sandwich for school dinner amid coronavirus safety measures. Thorpepark Academy in Orchard Park, Hull, has stopped proving hot meals, and instead is only serving cold food.
The school described the meals as a "grab and go packed lunch" - with one dad revealing the offering contains a sandwich, drink and a pudding, reports Hull Live.
Choosing not the be named, he said: "I don't know why they can't safely provide a hot meal when all the other schools around here are. "We got a letter e-mailed before they went back saying they can't provide a hot dinner so it will be sandwiches, but not about what they would get or anything. "My eight-year-old said he had a jam sandwich and a jelly.
