Geri Horner has opened up about why the Queen is her role model, as the monarch turns 94 years old. The Spice Girls star revealed she has always looked up to the Queen but during the current coronavirus pandemic her role as ‘figurehead’ of the country is even more important than ever.

Writing in Vogue on Queen Elizabeth’s birthday on 21 April, she explained: ‘Britain is a small island with a huge heart. A country, a bit like a successful business, is only as good as its people, so who lies at the heart of Britain’s greatness?  ‘Who is that icon of strength and stoicism?
