An elderly grandad who is self-isolating alone during the coronavirus pandemic had his spirits lifted by a caring young neighbour.
The 93-year-old called Ron has been forced to follow the Government's advice for over 70s and stay at home for at least 12 weeks while the world battles the killer virus.
This prompted a five-year-old girl, known as Kirah, to write a heartwarming letter to him to remind him he was not alone. She said: "Hello my name is Kirah and I am five years old. "I have to stay at home because of the coronavirus.
I just want to check if you're ok? "I have drawn you a rainbow to remind you that you are not alone. Please write back if you can. "From your neighbour at number nine." The letter was posted on Twitter
