The Observer reports that the health secretary has agreed to provide patient-identifiable test results - named lists of individuals who have contracted the virus - to town halls so they can help track the virus on the ground.
It comes after a sustained campaign by public health directors and mayors, including Andy Burnham, for the government to hand over all the data it has on the virus. The paper reports a source close to Mr Hancock saying confirmation of the move could come as soon as tomorrow.
