Heroic five-year-old girl saves mum’s life after she collapsed suddenly at home

A five-year-old girl saved her mum’s life by phoning for help after she collapsed and blacked out at home. Bella Rose Bunting kept calm when she found mum Christina Gault unconscious on the bathroom floor.After putting a towel under her head for a pillow and a robe over her to keep her warm, the youngster grabbed Christina’s phone to raise the alarm.

She finally managed to contact Christina’s cousin who kept Bella Rose talking while he rushed to the house in Stark Avenue, Dumfries.

An ambulance was called and Christina was taken to Dumfries Infirmary where she was diagnosed with appendicitis. The 27-year-old was discharged after four days with no visitors due to coronavirus restrictions.
