Hospital staff fears of serving coronavirus patients after colleague dies at home

Catering staff at a hospital have spoken of their fears of contracting coronavirus after a colleague was taken ill and died at home.

A caterer at University College Hospital (UCLH) - that is treating dozens of Covid-19 patients - died over the weekend after falling ill.

Her cause of death has not been confirmed and an inquest will be held at a later date. Two of her colleagues at UCLH have claimed they have been told not to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) around the hospital by their management and that nurses have pressured them into serving food directly to Covid-19 patients.

This has been denied by outsourcing company Interserve who are responsible for staff preparing and serving food to patients. Have you been felt pressured
