Manchester's hospitality industry has always been an important part of the city's cultural blueprint. The city has a vibrant food and drink scene, while its hotels house millions of tourists every single year.
But it's a sector that's been put on pause for the time being, the Covid-19 outbreak shutting down restaurants, bars, galleries and gig venues for the foreseeable future.

Kitchens that once turned out £20+ plates of top-quality pork loin or braised featherblade are now cooking healthy, simple meals in their thousands, to be delivered to those in need.
