A huge £22m community hub - bringing doctor’s surgeries, mental health care services and a library under one roof - has been approved by Manchester council.
With hundreds of homes appearing in parts of Gorton, the ‘one stop shop’ at the heart of the community will allow residents to access much-needed services more easily.
Manchester town hall, which agreed funding for the project last week, hopes the new way of working will usher in a ‘paradigm shift’ in the delivery of public services.
