Iain Lee says talkRADIO axe has ‘knocked him for six’ and he has ‘no idea’ why show wasn’t renewed

I’m A Celebrity star confirmed his shock exit after four years presenting on talkRADIO earlier this month, as he explained the network had decided against renewing his contract.

Iain’s statement came the day after his final show aired on 1 June and addressing his exit during an appearance on The Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5, he said his radio axe had ‘knocked me for six’.

The presenter revealed he has been left ‘really upset’ by the decision, while making a plea to other stations to give him radio work.

Iain said: ‘It does feel very odd and I know in the great scheme of things of what’s going on in the world – a guy losing a radio show on a right-wing radio station is not big news – but I’m gutted by it.
