The Chief Executive of Dublin City Council has said officials will remove illegal street furniture from outside bars, cafes and restaurants, if neccessary, in line with the Covid-19 guidelines around the reopening of premises under the lifting of restrictions.
Speaking on RTÉ's Today with Sarah McInerney, Owen Keegan said street furniture has been removed in the past, after engagement with the property owner.
He said the level of non-compliance with Covid-19 guidelines last weekend was very disappointing and he hopes it does not happen again.
