Rory Kinnear has spoken of his heartbreak after his sister Karina died of coronavirus in hospital - and none of his family were allowed to be with her as she took her final breath.

Karina was just 48 when she contracted the deadly COVID-19 virus and, because of her severe disabilities, was quickly hospitalised with stomach, lung and kidney problems.

It was what the family had feared since news of the global pandemic first broke, and by Saturday Rory and his relatives knew there was no hope for brave Karina.

Writing poignantly in the Guardian, Rory said his family all FaceTimed her as she lay unresponsive in bed, but there was no sign of her "life-affirming laugh" or any signal she could hear them.
