An NHS nurse who claims she was left with a sinking pile of rubble on her driveway when workmen did a runner was stunned after a kindhearted builder finished the work for free.

Rebecca Elkiraa, 41, says she was left devastated when she paid £3,100 to have her drive block paved only for the workers to reportedly disappear while she worked 12 hour Covid-19 shifts.

She claims builder Rob Taylor completely left her in the lurch with a half-laid driveway with pallets, bags of sand and rubble strewn across the front of her house.
