An anonymous donor has bought £1000 worth of vouchers from a Manchester restaurant - to be given to NHS workers. The incredible act of kindness has taken place at Wood on First Street, which is owned by former Masterchef winner Simon Wood.
Many restaurants across Greater Manchester have launched voucher schemes in an attempt to keep cash flow coming into their businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The idea is that diners can redeem the vouchers for a meal at a later date, when it is safe to do so. But this kind-hearted individual has insisted the huge sum of vouchers they’ve bought be handed out to the NHS staff working on the front line of the fight against the virus.
