A mutation of coronavirus found in Liverpool has spread to new areas as the public are told "get tested". When Health Secretary Matt Hancock talked yesterday in Parliament about a Covid-19 'mutation of concern' found in Liverpool yesterday it reportedly took some in the city by surprise.
And the variant - of which Mr Hancock said 32 cases had been found in the Merseyside city - has now been found in Preston and West Lancashire , say local health officials.
