All top level football has been suspended until further notice due to the pandemic. But leading clubs in Holland, led by his old side Ajax, have advocated shutting down the Eredivisie as it stands, with Ajax finishing top and AZ Alkmaar second.
Belgium have already abandoned their own league, with Club Brugge finishing top. This has angered Uefa, who want all competitions to be completed when it is safe to do so.
