A man has been charged after police were called to a house party taking place during lockdown. Macauley Orme, of Currier Lane, in Ashton-under-Lyne, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The 24-year-old has been bailed and is next due to appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Thursday, May 21. Police were called to reports of a house party taking place at an address on Currier Lane on Thursday, April 23.
A Closure Notice was granted by the court which bans anyone from entering the property other than the tenant. It is in place until Friday, May 1.
