A university pupil was travelling home after two months in lockdown when he died in yesterday's plane crash in Pakistan. Ammar Rashid, 20, was one of 97 people to die in the disaster after their Airbus A320 came down in a residential area of Karachi.
Tributes have flooded in for the mechanical engineering student, with pals describing him as 'very positive' and 'full of life'.
Some 97 bodies have been recovered from the crash site, with Ammar reportedly identified as one of the dead. Just before his flight he told his friends he was flying from Allama Iqbal International Airport, in Lahore, to Karachi after two months under the coronavirus lockdown.
