Manchester United have issued 7,000 bottles of beer and cider to members of staff as a reward. It comes amid the coronavirus crisis that has stricken the country over the past three months.

Sport has been no different with the Premier League on hold since March. But the return is in sight after Project Restart pencilled in June 17 as the date the football comes back.

However, in the meantime, a number of clubs have been working in the community to help those in need during these worrying times.

United have had 170 members of staff and key workers doing exactly that - and they have been rewarded. According to the Daily Mail, the Old Trafford outfit have sent out 7,000 beer and cider bottles to their staff members.
