Morecambe boss Stephen Robinson and his players are preparing for the club's Boxing Day clash against Bolton Wanderers amid Covid uncertainty over matches going ahead in light of rising Covid-19 cases and postponements.

The EFL announced yesterday that its programme of games will continue with fixtures to be played where it is safe to do so, and the set squad criteria can be fulfilled by clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two.

But it is acknowledged there are likely to be postponements in the future because of future positive cases being identified, but the EFL has 'optimism' disruption can be minimised following implementation of red protocols, a daily testing regime and ongoing vaccination rollout.
