The Midults have the answer The more we think about lockdown, the more we become persuaded that, in many ways, it has been an emotional hall of mirrors; distorting some feelings and behaviours into almost intolerable relief.
Just as we feel we can see a flash of truth, the tectonic plates shift again and we lose our footing. It exacerbates and it masks.
It magnifies and it diminishes. In short, although many of us are learning a great deal, it has been a tremendously weird time, and so we need to be cautious about what we feel we’ve discovered, because it isn’t necessarily a reflection of our real lives.
