Childminders and nannies have been told they can work as the government lifts restrictions on lockdown. The newly-released government document states that paid childcare can take place, providing health guidelines can be met.
These include reducing the number of people you come into contact with in a work setting, keeping indoor places well ventilated and frequent cleaning.
It states: "The government is also amending its guidance to clarify that paid childcare, for example nannies and childminders, can take place subject to being able to meet the public health principles at Annex A, because these are roles where working from home is not possible.
