Nearly 120,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the UK since yesterday. According to the latest figures from the UK Health Security Agency, a further 119,789 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the UK as of 9am on Thursday.
It is a new record high for daily reported cases, and only the second time that cases have exceeded 100,000 since the pandemic began.
