Bosses behind the proposed new arena, on the outskirts of Manchester city centre, say it will kick-start the economy providing thousands of jobs.
The new 23,500 capacity arena, next to the Etihad Stadium, is currently going through the planning process and would deliver a £350m private investment to the city, hosting around 150 events a year.
Developer OVG hopes to host their first world class event in 2023 and want Manchester to bounce back 'stronger and more vibrant than ever' from the coronavirus crisis.
They argue that this is a vital time to help Manchester by creating thousands of new jobs for the city and getting the local economy moving again as quickly as possible.
