The new strain of Covid-19 is "out of control" and everyone in Tier 4 should behave as if they have it, Matt Hancock has warned.
The Health Secretary told Sky News said it was vital for people to reduce social contact in order to manage the spread of the disease.
And he said that would be 'very difficult' until vaccines are rolled out, suggesting Tier 4 could be in place until that happened.
The Health Secretary went on to blast people who crammed themselves onto train station platforms in a bid to leave London last night.
