Yesterday Nicola Sturgeon announced a raft of measures designed to protect Scots from the Omicron Covid threat over the Christmas period.
Scots have been urged to minimise household contacts from now and immediately after the Christmas period. If people are meeting with other households, then they have been requested to limit gatherings to three households only.Unlike last year, the measure on gatherings has not been made law and currently remains as advice only.Hospitality venues and retail settings have also been ordered to step up their efforts to protect customers and workers during this spell.
Pubs and restaurants should now ramp up contact tracing measures and urge customers not to gather in great numbers around bars and entrances.S
