Nova Scotia entering 2-week shutdown amid COVID-19 surge

Nova Scotia Premier Iain Rankin announced on Tuesday that that a provincewide shutdown will begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday and will last for two weeks.

Rankin said there were 96 new COVID-19 cases in the province and variants were “on the move.” As part of the shutdown, all schools will be closed, indoor non-essential services will be restricted to curbside pickup, takeout or delivery only. .
