Global coronavirus infections has reached 25 million, as countries around the world further tightened restrictions to try to stop the rampaging pandemic.
John Hopkins University reports that the current number of global coronavirus cases is at 25,009,250. The university says that over 842,000 people have died of Covid-19 globally, with the highest number of deaths reported in the US with nearly 183,000.
According to an AFP tally, a million additional Covid-19 cases have been detected globally roughly every four days since mid-July, with India today setting the record for the highest single-day rise in cases with 78,761.
