There are some positive signs about the spread of the coronavirus in the most recent data from the National Public Health Emergency Team.
One is that the number of Covid-19 patients in Intensive Care Units appears to have stabilised. It has even eased a little from 167 patients three days ago to 160 two days ago, and down to 158 yesterday.
Another is that the growth in the number of people who tragically die from the disease may also be stabilising. In the past week 181 people died from the virus but that was almost unchanged from 178 the week before.
