NEW YORK - A 20-year-old woman pushing a 3-month-old baby in a stroller on a street in Manhattan was fatally shot in the head on Wednesday evening, according to authorities.The shooting happened near Lexington Avenue and East 95th Street on the Upper East Side around 8:20 p.m., the NYPD said.A man came up to the woman and shot her once in the head from a very close range, Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said at a press conference held near the crime scene on Wednesday night. YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. - A Colorado man was hospitalized after being gored by a bull bison at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, officials said. The 34-year-old man from Colorado Springs on Monday was walking with his family on a boardwalk near the Giant Geyser at Old Faithful, a popular tourist attraction located in the park, when the bull bison charged the group, according to a news release from park officials. When family members did not leave the area, the animal "continued to charge and gored the male." The man’s arm was injured, and he was taken by ambulance to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, officials said. The incident remains under investigation. Yellowstone National Park had recently reopened to visitors after destructive floods hit the area.

PHILADELPHIA - Officers with the Philadelphia Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead on Tuesday night. According to authorities, officers with the 8th District responded to numerous 911 calls reporting gunshots and a shooting at a bar on the 2400 block of Welsh Road around 11:30 p.m.Chief Inspector Scott Smalls police arrived on scene and found two victims. A 21-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head was transferred to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital to undergo surgery, but she later died, according to police. Police say a second victim, who was cut in the face by glass, was taken to the same hospital for treatment. Small says investigators know at least 15 shots were fired by a semi-automatic weapon. Police say they found five bullet holes in the bar's front window and they believe one of the bullets struck the 21-year-old. According to Small, investigators do not believe she was the intended target. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAuthorities say the investigation revealed a group of three men walked into the bar but were escorted out when one of them caused a disturbance at the bar. Small says the man who was giving the staff a problem then walked to a dark or Black pickup truck and 15 shots were fired in the direction of the bar. Authorities say there were multiple cameras in the area and they are confident that they will be able to identify him. The two men with the alleged shooter are not believed to be involved in the shooting, Small says.

MENDON, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol said at least four people were killed when an Amtrak train derailed after hitting a dump truck in Missouri at a crossing Monday.Authorities initially said two people were killed inside the train and one person was killed in the truck. They did not release their names. A fourth person died from injuries suffered in an Amtrak train derailment in Missouri, the state highway patrol said Tuesday. ATLANTA - An argument over mayonnaise at a Downtown Atlanta Subway ended with one worker dead and another in the hospital.Police say the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. at a Subway located at a gas station on Northside Drive Southwest.Police say a customer killed one worker at a Downtown Atlanta Subway and sent another to the hospital over an argument about the amount of mayo on his sandwich.The owner of the Subway says the reason for the shooting was something small: a customer was mad about mayo."Believe it or not, it was about too much mayonnaise on his sandwich," owner Willie Glenn said.In this argument, police say the customer shot two Subway employees, leaving a 26-year-old woman dead and another 24-year-old woman rushed to surgery in critical condition."He decided to escalate the situation and from there - that's when all hell broke loose," Glenn said.Glenn said the injured employee's 5-year-old son was inside the store when the shooting started.Glenn said the manager on duty returned fire at the suspect, but wasn't able to hit him."I don't know what the world is coming to especially with our youth.
