Parents of pupils at two primary schools which shut after a coronavirus outbreak have been told to self-isolate for 14 days.
Humberstone Infants school and Humberstone Junior School in Leicester have both been closed "for the foreseeable future". The decision was taken after both schools were shut on Monday when a teacher tested positive for Covid-19.
The closures come 10 days after pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 were cleared to return to primary school in England as the lockdown is eased.
The government is under pressure to resume children's education after admitting that some pupils will not be able to return until September at the earliest.
