Many will have enjoyed Baileys over Christmas, but before you go tipping any down the drain, plumbers have issued a stark warning.With Christmas well and truly over, some households may have some Baileys left over.

But before you think of putting it down the kitchen sink, it's said the iconic festive drink could wreak havoc on pipes.With the festive sparkle gone and Dry January here, you might be tempted to get rid of the liqueur.

However, plumbing experts say that could lead to a "nasty surprise".As reported by The Mirror, waste waste professionals say the creamy drink could spell trouble.

Alex Saunders, head of Southern Water's wastewater network, said Baileys can cause blockages.Alex said: "Something like Baileys, which has a cream content could add to problems.
