COVID-19 that violated the Nova Scotia Health Protection Act.Halifax Regional Police say they were called to a public pathway on Oakland Road just after 10:30 p.m.
Tuesday, after a resident reported a number of people in close proximity to one another.Police said 12-15 people were gathered on a small dock and were in violation of new Public Health restrictions that came into effect last week.This public path at the end of Oakland Drive in #Halifax’s south end leads to a dock on the Northwest Arm.
That’s where police charged 12 people last night at 10:30 pm for gathering without social distancing. Each charge carries a fine of $1,000.
