Police in Trafford have been leaving Easter eggs on doorsteps for children who have decorated their houses with rainbows. Over the last week the Greater Manchester Police Trafford North team have been keeping an eye out on homes displaying colourful rainbows in their front windows.
The officers launched a competition on Facebook to encourage youngsters to get involved in creating the rainbows to thank NHS staff and to cheer people up during the coronavirus lockdown.
Officers have chipped in their own cash to purchase the eggs and have also received donations from Asda Trafford Park, Tesco Stretford and WHSmith in the Trafford Centre.
