on the 1600 block of North Marshall Street. Police say the 34-year-old man was shot seven times throughout his stomach and leg.

Police say a 15-year-old girl was shot in the head while playing basketball in Nicetown-Tioga.  NICETOWN-TIOGA - A 15-year-old girl is fighting for her life after she was shot in the head at a park in Nicetown-Tioga.Officials say the girl was at a basketball court at Jerome Brown Playground on the 1900 block of West Ontario Street when someone opened fire Tuesday night, just before 9 p.m.The girl was rushed by medics to Temple University Hospital and was listed in extremely critical condition, suffering a gunshot wound to her head. The entire incident was caught on camera.

RALEIGH, N.C. - North Carolina lawmakers on Tuesday finalized legislation to raise the minimum age to get married in the state from 14 or 16, a decision that would end the state's status as an outlier compared to surrounding states.The Senate voted unanimously to accept House changes to the measure, which now goes to Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper for his expected signature.Children who are 16 or 17 would still be required to receive parental permission or a judge's approval to get married, and the age difference between the youth and their spouse now could be no more than four years.Current law has no minimum age gap between the spouses, and children as young as 14 can get married if they become pregnant and if a judge allows it.
