PHILADELPHIA - Homicide detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with the death of a Delaware County man in Philadelphia last month.

According to police, the fatal shooting occurred on the 4900 block of N Broad Street on March 8 at 9:41 p.m. According to officials, 37-year-old Frank Pralour of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, was found with a gunshot wound to the chest on the corner.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says police transported Pralour to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESPhiladelphia police released surveillance video of the shooting, which shows the suspect pulling out a weapon and shooting.

India recorded 3,962 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the previous 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 44,960,678. According to the data released by the union health ministry, revealed that the number of active cases has decreased to 36,244, which accounts for 0.08 per cent of the overall infections.

Police: Off-duty security guard shot in leg while walking to bus near Fashion District

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say an off-duty security guard at Philadelphia's Fashion District was shot in the leg while walking to a bus stop on Tuesday. The 39-year-old shooting victim told police that he was walking along the 800 block of Filbert Street around 7:30 when he heard a gunshot and noticed he was struck in the left thigh. Responding officers from the Philadelphia Police Department drove the victim to Jefferson Hospital where he was placed in stable condition. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESChief Inspector Scott Small told reporters the victim believed the gunshot came from a group of teens or young adults behind him that scattered in different directions. Investigators are unsure if the victim was the intended target of the shooting or if the bullet was stray. No arrests have been reported. While the victim is expected to physically recover, police fear the shooting could have been worse due to the heavy foot traffic that is normally around the Fashion District on pleasant spring nights.
